After climbing up the steps, there are some beautiful views of the city of Bern.
This is a type of strip mall. This overhang was built to protect customers from the elements. As you can see, it resembles a tube. So, when patrons go shopping, they do not say they are going shopping. They are going “tubing.”
As I said, our guide is a very community conscious person. When the city was going to repave this street, citizens were asked to donate a brick. This is the brick that our guide, Marie-Therese and her husband donated.
A lot of street performers ply their trade for tips. Note the hat on the sidewalk to collect the tips.
This girl is optimistic. She has two hats.
Another view of Bern with the Alps in the background.
This is their city hall
This is a view of the ceiling in the dome.
A mural on one of the walls.
On our next excursion, we’ll watch them make Swiss cheese.
Skip these pictures are awesome. Look forward to seeing your post.
