We are in the town on Colmar, which is in the Alsace Region of northern France. Because of it’s many canals, it is known as the petite Venice.
One of the many canals.
My sweet Debbie is blocking your view of this canal. But, I’d prefer to see her.
What thuh ……..?
And another canal. I love the reflections.
A narrow street in Colmar.
Debbie and I opted not to take the boat ride excursion.
I love the architecture of the houses.
And the stores.
We visited a food market in Colmar. There is a tremendous variety, and it was all so clean and fresh!
The dili sandwiches looked very appetizing.
Obviously, this is a display of a great variety of cheeses. I was definitely ready for lunch when we left here to go to a restaurant.
I took this photo to illustrate the quantity of merchandise in the stores. Not a square inch of space goes unused. Most all of the stores were like this. There were hundreds of items to choose from.
Our next stop will be the famous Unterlinden Museum. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it. I know I hadn’t, until this trip. But it is a great place to visit.
