One of the beautiful buildings in downtown Basel, Switzerland. Note the intricate iron work on the balcony railings.
Many statues adorn the buildings.
I think I heard this correctly, but this was a Catholic church before the reformation. Now, it is Protestant.
Another downtown scene.
I took this photo for Kathy. She’s our friend that loves doors. I have to admit that this one is quite stunning.
With Christmas approaching, most of the towns in Europe, have Christmas markets, which have a carnival atmosphere.
There is no shortage of places to but food.
Another beautiful church door.
This Ferris wheel is just outside a church door. Everyone gets into the Christmas spirit.
Some of the streets are almost too narrow to walk on, much less drive down.
Sticking your tongue out at someone in Switzerland is a tremendous insult. Children are taught never to stick out their tongue. So, if you have someone you want to insult, bring them to this building and this guy will do it for you.
Our next installment will be a continuation of our tour of Basel.
