I included this first photograph to show what the Tetons look like through the windshield. It looks as though you are driving into a post card.
I included the above picture because that is Ansel Adams on top of his car photographing over the Snake River in 1942. The photo below is my attempt at the same photo at the same location. But the trees have grown a bit since then and I did not have a car to stand on.
Notice how the peaks haven’t changed all that much.
